L I B R A R Y N E W S
Welcome to week 49. This is one of those weeks where you just have to knuckle down and get on with the work. Some of you have national tests - I wish you luck - and some of you are going to Ungdomsmottagningen. Whatever you do, remember that some do not find a schedule out of the ordinary very easy to deal with. Help each other to get through and to enjoy this week.
We are now in week 48, and not far from the Christmas break! This time of year is full of tests and obligations, so keep working hard! Remember that the library is a place full of information, and it is often quiet if you need to study.
Welcome back to another week of learning and reading. Today, I am proud to be able to show you many new titles to the library. Come in and have a look!
I have made a separate Easy-Read section for our senior students, away from the juniors'.
You can also borrow films!
This week we are expecting a plethora of new books, we have a new competition for you to partake in and you can write on a snowflake!
Welcome back to School!
It is nice to have you all back, although the Library was super quiet last week. Just how all Librarians like it! :D
This week, we start the winter period, which means that you must not wear your outdoor shoes any further than to the reception area.
There has also been some changes happening in the Library; there's a bunch of strange looking apples on the wall, and there are some new shelves. Come in an familiarise yourself with the new layout!

October is Dyslexia Month!
October 15th, 2019
Did you know that 1 person in five suffer from dyslexia? Dyslexia is a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence. It does not show on the outside but it can be very hard to live with. So, think about that a little extra in October, Dyslexia Awareness Month, and help your friends by being patient.

October 15th, 2019
After the Autumn Break, all teachers in junior school will have four library passes each. These are handed out to students who need to go to the Library during class or during break. The student will return the pass to the teacher on return to the classroom.

I hope you have had a wonderful summer. Those of you who have moved houses over the summer, please let me know your new address, so I can change it in the Library. Also tell your mentor so they can update Schoolsoft.
Years 4 & 5
have written and illustrated their own stories, and we have talked about what goes in to publishing a book. Please come and browse the class books and find your favourite, brand new literary figure!

A very generous donation
March 22nd, 2019
A very generous donation was made to the Library on Thursday by the McGregor Family.
Please come in and browse the shelves for new titles!
If you have any books that you are finished with, the Library would be excited to adopt them from you! There is always a home for outgrown books at the Library!
